08 Mar Newsletter No. 9
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
We are now into the third year of this pandemic that has disrupted and changed our freedoms and lifestyles. The government-imposed restrictions meant that many meetings (especially those indoors) had to be cancelled or go on-line. As a result, CMNW meetings could not be held during 2020 and early 2021. It looks now as if the severity of the virus infection is lessening and the vaccines are providing good protection, but many people remain concerned regarding potential adverse consequences of infection. God is in control, and He knows our weaknesses and supports us through life’s trials.
Thankfully, churches are now allowed to host worship and other meetings with minimal constraints, and CMNW was able to hold its first post-pandemic meeting at Carlisle in September 2021. At that meeting, Lucien Tuinstra, a physicist working for Creation Ministries International, gave two illustrated talks. Firstly, he spoke about dating methods, highlighting their shortfalls and inaccuracies. Following a refreshments break, he then explored the biblical perspective on racism. Both sessions were informative and easy to follow.
God willing, we plan to hold two sets of meetings this year, see below.
If you are someone who attended church or CMNW meetings in the past, but have not returned to attending such meetings now, can we challenge your obedience to Hebrews 10:25; “Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” On‑line ministries are no substitute for in-person fellowship!
If your church has not resumed services, pray, and seek God’s guidance. Our great commission is: “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15). How can we do this if we are not active as a church of God’s people?
CMNW aims to share the message that God created all things well. “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31). Man’s sin has spoiled that perfection, but God will create ‘new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells’ (2 Peter 3:13). We acknowledge that God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, created everything for His own glory, and He sustains this creation. Many today teach a different ‘beginning’, but only creation is true!
We need to understand creation and be confident to proclaim this truth to everyone. Please come along to our meetings, if you are able, and learn how science, and many eminent scientists today, support the view that the creation account in the Bible is correct.
As soon as we know more information regarding dates for meetings, speakers, etc, we will be in contact via the emailing list. Please stay tuned for updates and continue to pray for the work of CMNW.
